Indulgence Weekends on set dates are our speciality our Indulgence Weekends include most meals and drinks for your weekend stay. The Indulgence Weekend packages include a special 7 course dinner in our event house, dining privately with a maximum of 3 other couples cooked by our multi award winning chef and cookbook author Eloise Emmett. There is also the option to just book the Saturday night dinner and accomodation.
For accommodation bookings that are not on the dates set aside for our Indulgence Weekends we have an extensive provisions menu. Our provisions menu includes breakfast, wine, cheese, oysters, homemade jams, meals to reheat and more. Pre-ordering is essential to ensure freshness and availability. Please note our provisions menu is for your convenience, when you arrive in Taranna the nearest super market and store (both excellent) are a 30-minute drive away.
We have four self-contained spa chalets. The four are all slightly different, 3 have sunken floors into the living area and one has a flat floor (please request unit 3 in your booking if you require a flat floor, subject to availability). The chalets are all self-contained with full kitchens and laundry’s. We are located just over an hour from Hobart and we recommend you base yourself here for your southern Tasmanian stay. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of a country stay in a modern unit, and then take the option if you choose to make a day trip back to Hobart or Richmond and the Coal Valley Region, or even the 1-and-a-half-hour drive to visit the Huon Valley. Ensuring you leave time to explore the gorgeous Tasman Peninsula (everyone always wishes they had stayed for 2 or more nights when they arrive!!). The Tasman Peninsula boasts many amazing tourist attractions- the Port Arthur Historic Site, Tasman Island cruises, Port Arthur Lavender farm, Bangor Vineyard, the Coal Mines Historic Site and gorgeous sites of Eaglehawk Neck including the Blowhole, Tasman Arch, Devils Kitchen and the Tessellated Pavement. Free parking on site, Wifi, coffee pods, Spa baths, Quality professionally laundered linen and towels and comfortable King Size Beds and some of the features of this popular accommodation.

Menus will be seasonal, and sourced from the best local produce available including Brendan’s fresh catch of the day. This may include trevally, octopus, squid, trumpeter, shark, parrot fish, dory, boar fish, flathead or yellow fin tuna. We also source locally farmed quail, beef, pork, chicken, goat, lamb, wallaby, venison, rabbit and farmed salmon, oysters and mussels, fresh fruit and vegetables grown by Eloise and Brendan and sourced locally. Eloise makes all her own breads, pickles, ferments, preserves, pastries and jams, menus created daily with the best seasonal produce it may look something like:

The lazy Sunday breakfast will include full cooked breakfast with good coffee, tea and fruit juice served in the Event House or delivered to your room.

What an amazing weekend getaway! We arrived Friday afternoon to our beautiful unit. Great king size bed and the luxury of a spa! What a joy to find a bottle of Tasmanian sparkling ros’e waiting for us along with homemade salmon rilletes, pat’e and apple paste, with crackers and cheese. A beautiful fish pie in our fridge to reheat at our leisure for supper. Breakfast provisions were also provided with gorgeous homemade bread and jams. We spent a day exploring the area, so much to see and do. A light lunch at the Lavender Farm at Port Arthur sufficed as we knew we had a 7 course degustation with matched wines coming our way for dinner. The care and thoughtfulness that went in to this meal was shown on the plate…every one a stand out! Served with the best Tasmanian wines and produce… what a credit to our state and to Eloise for showcasing the amazing things we have to offer. Breakfast was again catered with homemade croissants, fresh scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, homemade jams, juices, tea and coffee and so much more. For a foodie, or anyone just wanting a wonderful experience, this is the place to go. We can’t wait to return. We returned home relaxed and satisfied that we’d had one of the best weekends away Tasmania has to offer.

We have 4 self contained light and bright self contained units each unit has a king size bed. The units are private and management does not live on site but are available by telephone. Rooms will only serviced once during a full week stay, if requested.

The main residence event space building has a loft dorm bunkhouse style bedroom with a double bed bunk and 2 single beds. We encourage groups travelling together to book the Event House so they have a House to congregate in for meals and gatherings. Our Event House with the 4 chalets on site is the perfect Venue for a small celebration or dinner party, with Eloise Catering (when Available) or self catering.
We are located 10 minutes drive to the Port Arthur historic site where the Three Capes Bush walk starts and near Tasman Island Cruises.
